My classes

I teach two classes in Dumfries: intermediate yoga and a new ‘early bird’ yoga class. I also teach occasional workshops and offer 1-to-1 personal yoga session. See below for more info about each of them.

Intermediate yoga: Mondays 5.45pm-7pm

Dates: Monday 29th April to Monday 29th July (join at any point) [NO CLASS 3rd June]

This class is for those with previous yoga experience and/or, a good level of fitness. The class will include intermediate and advanced movements, but always with modifications, and will be relatively energetic and dynamic. The class is ideal for people who do sports and are looking to add yoga to their training. Not ideal for pregnant women or for those with limited physical ability or serious health conditions – I am happy to direct you to more suitable yoga classes instead as there are plenty in Dumfries that would be more appropriate. Mats are provided or you can bring your own.

Location: Studio 3, Lovers Lane Studios, 28-32 Rae Street, Dumfries, DG1 1HX

Directions: Walking access is from either Rae Street or Newall Terrace. Studio 3 is up a few steps. There is free car parking next to the venue and car access is via Newall Terrace, opposite the temporary DG1 leisure facilities in the Loreburn Hall.

Price: £6 (£4 Concessions) Drop in, no pre-booking required, you are welcome to join on any week.

Clothing: Wear/bring layers of loose warm clothing.

Early Bird Yoga Class – Tuesdays 7-8am  

Mixed ability class

An early morning class which will get you moving gently and set you up for the rest of the day. Ideal for anyone who finds it difficult to get to an evening yoga class. This is a mixed ability class with complete beginners welcome as well as those with more yoga experience. The class will include yoga movement and poses, breath work and mindfulness. As it’s early in the morning we will not be doing challenging advanced poses, it’s more about getting the body moving.

Mats available but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Price: £6 / £4 concessions. Drop in, no pre-booking required, you are welcome to join on any week.

Location: Wellness Centre, 9 George Street Meuse, Dumfries, DG1 1HH
The Wellness Centre is just off the main street near the Burns Statue. Access in the early morning is from George Street (ie, via Irving St or Castle St). Pedestrian/cycle access only through the mews lane.
